SOME SHOTS OF VEGAS

In August of 2011, my daughter and I went to Las Vegas for a little R&R. It was fabulous. So much to see and do and just not enough time. The thing that found out about Vegas was, it is not just about the gambling and the shows. There is just so much to see and do. Every hotel has a theme and there own unique things to see and do. And alot of them are free.

The Excalibur Hotel, we stayed here (Our very own castle) They had suits of armor inside.

New York, New York

With their own Statue of liberty.

The lion of the MGM Grand Hotel (Isn't he gorgeous) They had live lions on the inside.

That is just a few of my photos from my trip to Vegas.

A VISIT TO AN OLD CHURCH

Good evening, I am here to post a few more of my photos from the photgraphy class that I recently took. On the evening of our last class we visted several locations here in town. The first was this really old church, it has been repaired and cleaned up. We were able to go inside and take some photos. The only light source was from the window (which is made of a wavy glass) and the small lights on the walls.

This is the outside of the chuch.

This is the original piano and this was taken without a flash, it was a paint with light shot with just the light available from the lamp.

This window in the church has wavy glass, I love the effect of the glass when looking outside. These photos are what I got just by making adjustments on the shutter speed and F stop. I learned so much in just a short amount of time. Well, I hope that you have enjoyed these photos, I will be back with more really soon.

PAINT WITH LIGHT AND DAFFADILS

Good evening, I am back with a couple more of my photos which were done as home work for my photography class. These are more paint with light photos. I really love this technique.

These are some vases that I chose from around my home. I thought that the colors worked well together.

This is one of my outdoor photos of a Daffadil (I think this is spelled right). This was takent at the park this past weekend.

Well, that is it for now. I will be back with more photos soon.

PAINTING WITH LIGHT

Hi all, I am here with a very short post. I wanted to share a photo from my photography class. It was done with a really cool technique called "Painting with Light" it is done in a dark room and the only light comes from a flash light. The camera is set on a slow shutter speed and the light is shined on the object being photographed.

How cool is this, this was taken on my dining room table and the rooms were totally dark. I would love to hear what you think.
